Web Hosting Account Features

Bandwidth limits
To all intents and purposes there are no bandwidth limits associated with our web hosting packages. Unless our automated log analysis detects an unusual and exceptionally high demand for bandwidth, your site is free to use as much as is required.

All account holders are charged £5.00 for each gigabyte (GB) or part thereof of data transferred through the server each month (this includes web requests, ftp transfers and e-mail). There is no minimum charge! We only bill you for the bandwidth you've used and nothing more.

POP3 mailboxes
Each web hosting package comes with an unlimited number of POP3 and/or IMAP mailboxes for sending and recieving e-mail. Each mailbox can have multiple aliases, and has forwarding and vacation response facilities.

SPAM and Virus protection
Our Linux Apache web servers are configured to run sophisticated e-mail SPAM and Virus protection. This allows you to easily identify SPAM e-mail and deal with as you see fit (and optionally can be removed from the server at source before you even see it). Our anti-virus protection is updated every 15 minutes 24 hours a day to ensure that no virus ever threatens your system. Windows servers currently have anti-virus protection only at this time.

Control Panel
Each Linux Apache web hosting package has its own web based control panel where you can maintain and configure your web hosting account quickly and easily. Control panel features include the ability to manage users, POP3/IMAP mailboxes, majordomo mailing lists, configure anonymous FTP & SSL (where applicable) as well as backup and restore functions.

CGI & Perl support
CGI and PERL support is included on all web hosting packages. Write your own CGI/PERL scripts or install from the many thousands of libraries available on the web. We only ask that you do not run CGI scripts that take longer than 30 seconds to process, or run any kind of chat script.

PHP scripting
PHP is a server-side, cross-platform, HTML embedded scripting language. PHP version 4.1.2 is installed as standard with our Linux Apache packages and PHP version 5.1.1 on our Windows servers, both with the ZEND scripting engine. Chili!Soft ASP
Sun Chili!Soft ASP Software is a server-side scripting and runtime environment for the cross platform deployment of Active Server Pages (ASP) Web sites and Web applications, and is installed as standard with our Linux Apache packages. Microsoft ASP & ASP.NET
All our Windows 2003 hosting packages come pre-configured to run native ASP and ASP.NET scripts.

Microsoft FrontPage
If you wish to develop your web site using Microsoft FrontPage, then you'll be pleased to know FrontPage 2000 (Linux) or Frontpage 2002 (Windows) extensions can be installed at no extra charge.

Additional Options

Optional fully integrated eCommerce solution
Are you looking to sell from your web site? Then we can install and configure osCommerce for you. osCommerce is one of the best open source, licence free shopping cart systems available. You simply add your products to the easy to use administration control panel and start selling!

osCommerce integrates with many credit card payment systems, including PayPal, so taking payment on line has never been easier. osCommerce is available only on our Linux Apache web hosting plan, and attracts a one-time only £100.00 setup fee.

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
SSL can be installed to enable secure transmission of data between your web site and your visitors browser. There is an annual non-refundable charge of £50.00 to install & configure SSL.

Please note that this does not include server certification, which can be purchased seperately from a variety of suppliers. Check out VeriSign, Thawte and Equifax for more information on server certificates.

MySQL databases
MySQL is one of the post popular open source relational database management systems in use on the web. We can enable MySQL databases on your Linux Apache account for a one-time setup fee of £5.00, plus an additional monthly charge of £1.00 irrespective of how many databases you have configured. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases
SQL Server 2000 is one of the leading relational database management systems in use today. We can enable SQL Server 2000 databases on your Windows account for a one-time setup fee of £5.00, plus an additional monthly charge of £1.00 irrespective of how many databases you have configured. Domain name registration
If you wish to register further domain names for use on your web hosting account, please consider using our own ITL Domains registration service. Domain names registered using ITL Domains will be configured on your web hosting account free of charge! Additional domain names registered elsewhere attract a one-time setup fee of £10.00 per domain (this does not include the primary domain name associated with your web site).
